samantha reid; Made this a couple days ago! Was pretty good but not a whole lot of flavour. Maybe I need more spices and I think I’ll try it with coconut milk as well! Overall it was really good! I’ll make it again! I also left some of the yogurt marinade on and only marinated it for 4 hours.
LeeAna Hudson; This was my first time using my crockpot and this meal turned out amazing! My husband, and the friends we had over, were in love with this meal! I kept the marinade on the chicken when I put it in the crockpot and it had a lot of flavor. I also added a little more butter! This is one of my favorite recipes.
Hana G; I’d say if you’re looking for some more flavor kick (like I know I expect out of Indian cuisine), add some more cumin & probably some curry powder. As is, it has very little in the spice department; but it’s definitely delicious. Has a particularly creamy, tomatoey taste, almost reminiscent of a vodka sauce in Italian cuisine. Cheers!
Carol Stubbs; SO delicious! We made some substitutions (like 1tsp cayenne pepper instead of the jalapeno, and 1/8 tsp garlic powder instead of a clove), we also took the advice of some of the reviews on here that said to add curry. This was so divine. Ours came out a little spicy (we might do half a tsp of the cayenne pepper to replace the jalapeno), but the spice quickly gave way. The chicken was very tender, and although we didn’t marinate ours overnight, we definitely still enjoyed it. Adding this one to the family favorites!
