April Clausi; Have tried this several times, and tweaked it along the way to make it much less sweet. Used 1/4 C of Hoisin instead of 1, 3T of brown sugar instead of 4, and 3t of sesame oil instead of 2. Also went heavy on the red pepper flakes. Only takes an hour and 40 minutes on low in my crockpot. Perfect for our taste now.

Cindy Wibben; It’s good, pretty sweet even after excluding the brown sugar. We did add in chili garlic sauce into it for some spice. Also did not cook in instant pot, just stove top. I love the crispy pieces of chicken.

Heather Campbell; Wasn’t the best for leftovers. I tried making a large amount 6-7 chicken breasts worth since my guy is a massive eater. It got a bit dried out. Other than that, when I cooked it and ate it that night it was GREAT!!
David Smith; Tastes like restaurant general tso should have added some heat still everyone loved it, only needed 1 hour in my slow cooker on high, also added onion shallot and mushrooms.
Des Bouadi; TASTY!! Loved it. I cooked longer than 3 hours…close to 4 and used half of the hoisin sauce suggested this way it got thick/stuck to the chicken pieces and wasn’t soupy.
