JULIE MCMILLIN SAYS; I have cooked this dish many times and brought it to a party and some of my friends say that they are the best potato dish they have ever tasted. I cooked some today and was thinking of adding some Jimmy Dean sausage but didn’t know if I should precook the sausage first or put in raw like I do with my Manda hot sausage . I sometimes put in jalapeños, green onions, and bacon in it. You can add just about anything to this recipe. It is addictive if you like potatoes and sausage like I do. So anyone reading the comments wondering if you should give it a try, I say try it and I bet you will be making it again and again. So easy and doesn’t take long to fix. I also add cheese and stir and then top it with more cheese. I give this dish a 5 star for taste and how easy it is to make. Enjoy!!!

LILYROSE SAYS; I made this earlier this week , it was so delicious! I used smoked turkey sausage and added some diced red pepper. The paprika and thyme add great flavor, and the cheese at the end, too. My house smelled fabulous! Thanks for the recipe.

JOANNE DEBOLT SAYS; I made this a while ago, but being summer, I made it in a foil pack (1/2 recipe). Just put it on the grill, kept flipping every so often, when it was done, I just brought it in, sprinkled on the cheese and wrapped it loosely until the cheese melted. Came out very good. Oh, and I had added some green pepper to the mix.
