This scalloped potatoes recipe is creamy, cheesy, and irresistibly delicious. Yet it’s made lighter with a few simple tweaks!
What people says about this recipe?
Michelle Dunn; Great recipe! I made 4.5lbs of potatoes and 4 cups milk, 4tbsp flour/butter and 3 garlic cloves. Left out the thyme. Came together beautifully and fed 11 people.
Andrea St. Clair; These turned out AMAZING! I am so pleased with the recipe. My family absolutely loved them!
Jan Schlosser; Sliced potatoes 1/4 thick. Used 1/2 and 1/2 that I needed to use up. Mixed sauce and potatoes together vs layering. We loved!
Heath McInnes; Tasted great. Got lots of compliments. Will be keeping this recipe. Took a little longer in the oven but I did make it the night before and put it in the fridge unbaked and ready to go in the oven the next day. That worked great. Wasn’t quick enough getting a pic before someone helped themselves 🙂
Loryn Bathurst; seriously best recipe ever!!! was a SUPER hit!! followed exactly except for straining onions & didn’t use fresh thyme still and out amazing!!!
Nailah; Fantastic recipe! Just made it…didn’t add thyme on top but used dry thyme (all I had) in the mix. Very yummy! Best one I’ve made to date. Thank you for sharing.
Madii Paii; Scalloped potatoes are one of my favorite ways to them. This recipe was pretty simple and I loved it! Made it for a work thanksgiving potluck and everyone loved them!
Amanda Moulton; This is a great recipe! I found that it needed 25 more minutes of bake time than the recipe called for so I covered it again to prevent it from burning on top. I also put Parmesan cheese on top, yum!! Everyone at my Easter dinner had seconds.
Allison Janes; Very easy to make. Perfect recipe! Subbed the thyme with steak seasoning and tonys creole seasoning. Turned out great! I did use pre shredded cheese instead of shredding it my self, and I had no problem. Will try the OG way next time. I halved the recipie for two of us and have half it left over for lunch tomorrow.
