It was the Fall of 1987 when Pete Nyhus walked into our office, just to visit. We started talking about breakfast, and he reached into a wastepaper basket and pulled out a scrap of teletype paper. He wrote out this recipe, and my family has never used pre-mix since.
What people says about this recipe?
We Are Here To Inspire; OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have tried at least ten other recipes…NONE compare to this one here! Thanks so much for sharing!
Alexis Ackermann; So so delicious. I add a generous ½ tsp each of vanilla extract and almond extract. So yummy!
Allanna Walters; These were soooo great! they taste like pancakes you get at your local restaurant. so good. i didn’t have milk so i substituted it for water. i was worried they’d be dry or have no flavor so i added 1tbsp cinnamon. They werent dry and cinnamon was great for flavor! I will use this recipe everytime i make pancakes now!
Olivia Walker; The most delicious pancakes ever. I did use buttermilk instead of regular milk, however. Definitely a good substitution.
Ana Mejia; These came out great! My toddler loved them. Very fluffy consistency, I added 1 tsp of vanilla extract.
Amanda; #Pancakes #Brunch #Yummy they are soooo yummy. I doubled the baking powder, salt and added vanilla extract and a dash of cinnamon
ruth harkey; These came out perfectly. The recipe made about 18 pancakes of this size so you could easily half it, or freeze some for easy reheating in the microwave. No going back to boxed, easy and delicious.
Izzy Shur; These are surprisingly good! Im making them right now and Ive already taste tested! Love it! The only thing i did different was adding more milk (didn’t measure) and a capful if vanilla. Definitely a go to recipe.
