Delicious, fluffy country style French toast is much easier to make than you think. The key is to use real butter melted on a preheated skillet or griddle. Restaurant style french is usually made with thick sliced “Texas toast”. Most super markets carry brand name Texas toast and is perfect for this recipe. Bakeries can also thick slice your favorite fresh baked bread and that’s a wonderful option as well.

Bonnie Beth; It was super easy and quick. I added a sprinkle of cinnamon to please my 5 yo. I never liked French toast very much but this was delicious.
Tenaya Vann; I thought I had Vanilla at home but it was actually Almond ,and I really enjoyed that flavor. I added Cinnamon & a pinch of sugar which I enjoyed also.
Mark Vincent 316; I made it with Brioche Bread, added a touch of almond extract to the egg mixture, and topped it with bananas and pure maple syrup. Simply delicious!!
Planet612; Made this for breakfast, and we both think it’s the best French toast recipe compared to others I made before. I used only 5 s lives of toast, so 1cup of milk is a bit too much, I should have used less. 🙂
Alliyah Blondell; This came out SOOO good. Of course I was extra, used cinnamon, allspice, cloves. I got a loaf of vanilla swirl brioche from Aldi #teamaldiforlife It was amaze. The inside was nice n soft like it was supposed to be. My only regret, no powdered sugar. But this tastes legit. Loved it!!!
Katie Woodard; So good!! I used low fat milk. Sugar free bread and syrup. Olive oil instead butter. Added cinnamon. Delicious I can only imagine with all original ingredients!
Cashmere; Used 3 loaves of Texas bread, and needed to add one more egg and 1 cup milk to have enough for all the loaves. This was amazing. Everyone raved about how delicious it was.
